(b Helsinki, Oct 22, 1953). Finnish composer and choral conductor . He studied composition with Kokkonen and Heininen at the Sibelius Academy, where he took his diploma in music theory in 1988 and where he began teaching in 1979, from 1993 as a lecturer. From 1984 to 2004 he was artistic director of Polyteknikkojen Kuoro, the male voice choir of the Helsinki University of Technology.
