b Jyväskylä, July 27, 1958). Finnish composer. He took private lessons in composition from Einojuhani Rautavaara before enrolling at the Sibelius Academy in 1981. There he studied composition with Einojuhani RautavaaraEero Hämeenniemi, and Magnus Lindberg, and the piano with Risto Lauriala until 1987. After decades of interruption, due to intense composing, he finally took the Master of Music degree in 2008.
